Glabrous tree. Leaves opposite, narrow-ovate to ovate-oblong, up to 10 cm long, acuminate, entire. Flowers numerous, arranged in axillary cymose panicles. Floral tube continued and broadening above the ovary. Sepals 4, sometimes unequal, deciduous. Petals 4, white-pink. Stamens numerous, in more than one whorl, short. Ovary 2-locular with several ovules per loculus inserted on axile placentas. Fruit a nearly globular berry, 6–12 mm diam., white or purplish white. Widespread. RF. Fl. summer. Lilly Pilly.
