Erect, perennial herb with corms. Leaves basal and cauline, linear, fibrous. Flowers in a series of cymes with or without cormils in the position of flowers; spathe 2-fid. Perianth segments connate basally into a curved tube. Stamens arranged onto the upper side of the flower. Stylar branches 2-fid, filiform. Capsule woody, globose to cylindrical.
